Pre and Post Natal Physiotherapy - Pelvic Instability
The impact of pregnancy on the female body is still seriously underestimated.
Due to the major hormonal changes, the physical and psychological impact of pregnancy and the eventual heavy physical labor during childbirth, good guidance and preventive training are essential.
Prenatally, it is recommended to start physiotherapy from 20 weeks of pregnancy. You will receive information about pregnancy and learn exercises and tips to avoid or reduce complaints.
Postnatally we work mainly on strengthening the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles (closing the diastasis), stability and condition. In case of a natural birth it is recommended to start after 4 to 5 weeks, in case of a caesarean section rather after 6 to 7 weeks.
