Sports rehabilitation and taping
The sports physiotherapist focuses on both competitive and recreational athletes. The physiotherapist consists on the one hand of treating sports injuries and on the other hand of preventing them.
In practice, we see many athletes who suffer from muscle injuries, ankle and Achilles tendon injuries, meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament injuries, ... We work with you on an optimal build-up of training and competition. The sports physiotherapist works out an individual training schedule with adapted training advice and sports-specific exercises. When further resuming sports, it is explained what to look out for to avoid relapses.
Two important aspects in the prevention of sports injuries:
Core stability training
On the one hand, core stability must be strong so that there is good cooperation between the different muscles (buttocks, hips, abdomen and back). On the other hand, it must have good flexibility so that your body can move efficiently. If your body has a strong and solid base from which movements can take place, the chance of injuries is reduced.
Kinesio tape
This tape helps your rehabilitation and contributes to restarting training and competition.
